Robot name : The Brave Little Roaster





The
UVTron

sensor is used to detect an open
flame in the room.


The sensor needs to have direct sight with the
flame from up to 10
-
15 feet.



Once the sensor has detected the flame, the
robot will slow down and start to locate the
flame.


Photo transistors were used to locate where the
flame is at in the room.


Two photo transistors were put the bottom
deck of the robot and space about 5 inches.


The photo transistors were hooked to the A/D

Ports.



When the A/D port output a number less than
220 then the robot stops and knows a flame has
been found.

will turn right a little

will turn left a little


After the robot have positioned itself in front of
the flame, the robot will back up if too close.
