Johannesburg

In keeping with
its mission to lead the delivery of a bold new digital
world to customers, MTN today announced the extension of its bouquet of cloud services
to Cote d’Ivoire.

The introduction of MTN Cloud in
Cote d’Ivoire

this week comes on the back of a highly
successful launch of the services in Ghana and Nigeria earlier this year. MTN plans to
launch the MTN Cloud offering in three other markets in the coming months
, namely

Uganda
, Cameroon and South Africa.

across professional

and
small and medium enterprises (SMEs)

sectors.

O
ur focus as MTN is to contribute to the development of enterprises and the sustainable
growth of
economies

in the countries where we operate. MTN Cloud is integral

to
our
strategy to achieve this,
particularly
as
enterprises

are key economic growth

drivers in
most of our markets,” says
Pieter Verkade,
MTN Group Chief Commercial Officer
.

The
MTN C
loud services
are aimed at satisfying

the
growing appetite of businesses for
ICT

solutions that are relev

as well as security

McAfee.

MTN Cloud aims to deliver on the company’s promise to make
the lives of customers
brighter

by leading the ‘delivery of

a bold new digita

’ to them
.
As a resu
lt, the
c
loud services a
pproach entails the centralisation of access to services
,

where
in

a third
party, in this case MTN, acts as the single point of contact for customers.

The focus is on convenience, as centralising access t
o services eases the administrative
burden for business, where instead of dealing with multiple service providers, they now
deal with one,”
adds Verkade
.

As with the launches in Ghana and Nigeria
in April
, this week’s
introduction of
business
automation
tools

in
Cote d’Ivoire

is part of the first phase of MTN Cloud service
s

designed primarily
for SMEs across
professional services

and
the
health

ectors. The second phase of MTN Cloud offerings will cater

for
major
corporates
and multinat
ionals.

The uptake
in Ghana and Nigeria
has been positive
. W
e
are optimistic that MTN Cloud
will receive a similar response in
Cote d’Ivoire
, and
in the other markets
when it’s
launched
,”

concludes

Verkade
.
