developed their skills during master classes (Reggio Emilia String Quartet Festival,

In 2012 Meccorre String Quartet was awarded the first prize and an annual scholarship by the
Irene Steels

Wilsing St
iftung.
The Quartet, as well as each of the members individually, are
currently receiving the scholarship from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage
as well as from the programme "Young Poland". Thanks to the support of the Ministry of
Cultu

to popularise chamber music in places with limited access to culture, such as hospitals for
young people and children.

Meccorre are also authors of very interesting
concert programmes, which fuse different
cultural areas. "MecCorrespondances" are a series of monographic recitals combined with the
reading of personal correspondence of different composers. The innovatory project "Art of
FUGA" presents a synthesis of Die

Kunst der Fuge by J.S.Bach, accompanied by Bohdan
Pociej's commentary and a multimedia presentation. Cooperating with a singer, Mieczysław
Szcześniak, the Quartet experiments as well in the field of jazz music during concerts "On the
Bridge".
