NB: Use netlists to perform both the analogue and digital parts of the assignment.
Analogue
plot
the
graph of the input and output characteristics for the 2N2222 bipolar junction
transistor using the library model. Assume that the transistor is to be used in the common
emitter configuration.
The 2N2222 transistor is to be used in the amplifier circui
t shown below in Figure 1. Perform
the following:

10kHz using an AC source). Is the output significantly distorted?

10MHz. What are the lower and upper cut

off frequencies of the ampli
fier, the amplifier’s
bandwidth, and its gain

Digital
Design a one bit adder using an appropriate combination of two input OR, AND and XOR
gates.
Remember that we are using the Evaluation version of PSpice so we are l
imited in terms of
the number of connections we can use in a circuit. It may thus be necessary for you to use
SUBCKTs for each of the gates and one for the ONEBIT unit.
Construct each of the basic gates using voltage controlled switches. This will give an
indication
of the ideal performance of the adder. Suggested parameters for the switch are as follows:
RON=1 ROFF=1MEG VON=1 VOFF=0
Verify the functionality of your added using the following PULSE inputs for A, B and
carry in, Cin, respectively and a transi
ent analysis of the form ‘.TRAN 2N 200N’:
