This folder contains all of the VCH
dll’s

scripts and DMS notifications.

Launch installation program



If .NET 4.0 is not found
on machine, you will be
prompted to do so.



If installation of .NET 4
fails, user can continue
with VCH2 install.

Initial setup


This Welcome screen informs
users what version of VCH is
being installed.



It also notes to the user to
create a backup before
proceeding and stop IIS or the
Application Pool in IIS before
continuing.

Select all users or a single user to have DMS VCH Setup
installed into the startup folder.

launched via Start Menu item or
directly from its folder location.

Enter in all the required
fields.

that gets populated with
the connection strings

Once all the required information has been entered, simply
click the “Apply” button.



This will create the connection strings and apply VCH SQL code
to the company database.

Launch a web browser and enter the VCH2 address as setup in
IIS to view the VCH 2 home page.

VCH 2 CSS


With VCH 2, you can modify portions of the look and feel by simply modifying
the CSS (cascading Style Sheets) code



Items you may alter include:


Font size


Colors


Municipal logos


Hyperlink color



VCH 2 Customization Toolkit

out of the box experience doesn't meet your

the only limit is your imagination and the data
exposed by the web services

If you launch VCH2 in a browser and you are returned the
following error:


Troubleshooting

This occurs because the
default app pool is set to
use V2.0 version of .NET.
To resolve, change it to
use V4.0


If you receive the following error when launching VCH2 in a
browser, you should try starting IIS
