Project Synopsis:

The objective of the project is to implement an audio effects system using the
Matlab environment. Matlab is an integrated technical computing environment
that combines numeric computation, advanced graphi
cs and visualisation, and a
high level programming language. It has become a standard package being
used by a wide variety of engineers, scientists and mathematicians. The audio
effects system will provide various options including:




Load in a wav file/Plo
t/Play File, Plot spectrogram



Basic Delay, Multi
-
tap Delay, Multiple & Infinite Delays using IIR Filters



Simple Reverberation, Reverberation using the Schroeder’s System



Flanging with various depths, delays, sweep depths, LFO’s waveforms,
Chorus.



Expansi
on/Noise Gating.



Compression/Limiting.



Equalisation, Design of Shelving Filters, Graphic Equalisation.



Phase Shifting.



Ring Modulation and Frequency Inversion
