Task 1


Creation of an Interactive Website

You are to
design and create a website on

a subject of your own choice. The website must consist of a
complex
set of linked pages,
which includes facilities for adding, deleting and amending data. You
r
website should include the following features as a
minimum
:



Text



Images

(both existing and created by yourself)



Hyperlinks



Text and Graphical Hotspots




Form elements (text boxes, buttons, combo boxes)



Interactive facilities, which could be the use of a
database linked to your website

Your website must be created using a
range of

different authoring tools

or methods
, such as CSS, HTML
and scripting.


Task 2


Testing of an interactive website

Once your website is complete, you should host in on a web serv
er and test
it. The testing must include:



Creation of a test plan



Testing of a full range of data



Testing the website is usable and conforms to established web design rules

This assignment assesses your ability

to design and create interactive websites. The subject of your
website can be your own choice, but you need to consider that you will be comparing this site with
commercial websites in the second assignment, so you should choose an appropriate subject ma
tter.
