Apple Inc's (AAPL-O) Founder and former CEO Steve Jobs passed away Wednesday at the age of 56. Apple closed yesterday at 1.5% higher to $378.25, a slight increase despite the recent announcement of the latest iPhone in the market. New CEO Tim Cook took over the company, but many, including shareholders, question whether Cook could bring in the same passion and creativity that Jobs has contributed to the company. The largest active institutional holder of Apple is Fidelity Management & Research (FMR). It was also a top seller after shedding 2.1M shares in Q2 '11.

Ownership data includes all holder types and is gathered from a range of publicly available filings, reports, regulatory announcements, a
n
other verifiable sources. This data reflects an investor’s holding at that point in time.

Due to varied global disclosure regulations, publicly available ownership data differs greatly based on country. These differences impact
and can limit the total ownership exposure generalizations we provide. For instance, certain countries like the United States ensure more
visibility by requiring large institutional money managers to disclose most equity ownership holdings via 13F filings. However, many
countries lack such stringent disclosure requirements, thereby limiting the amount of ownership information we can capture and expose f
o
a given investor's country.

Thomson Reuters Ownership & Profiles data consists of holdings worth $38 trillion identified from approximately 70 countries, global
history from 1997 (US 13F history from 1978 and US Insider history from 1986) and intelligence on 17,000+ institutional investors,
50,000+ mutual and hedge funds and detailed information on more than 151,000 buy- and sell-side contacts.

Ownership data sources include extensive & timely coverage of declarable stakes, mutual funds, hedge funds, insiders and institutional
profiles encompassing over 70 countries worldwide, as well as unrivalled coverage of UK share register content. Data is sourced from
institutional investors, investment managers, stock exchanges, regulatory authorities and regional specific sources such as UK registers
and Japanese Detailed Shareholders reports.
