Abstract


Results of the test Drug and food Supervisory Agency (BPOM) States of 700 samples
of food products derived from Java, South Sulawesi and Lampung, 56% contain
formaldehyde.

The danger of abuse of formaldehyde can cause ailments, whether acute or
chronic effects.

Formalin detection technology is an alternative monitoring to know the
dangers of formaldehyde in food or drink, but currently available rapid detection

at affordable
prices
.

that implementing the technology of electronic nose an alternative to produce detection
instrument that is quick and accurate.
