(IEI) is based at Kolkata and was established in 1920.



In 1935 the Institution obtained the Royal Charter status from the King Emperor George Vth.

The Institution has over five lakh members on its roll and fifteen engineering disciplines.

AMIE is considered equi valent to B.Tech/ B.E. and is accepted by UPSC/ UGC/ AICTE/ Govt of
India & State Govts.

AMIE is recognized as a
valid degree in India and Abroad



Eligibility
:


(1)

Diploma Holders from any State Technical Board recognized by AICTE are eligible for
pursuing the AMIE Degree and are registered as Senior Technician(ST) Members


(2)

Candidates with 45% marks in aggregate in 12
th

Science with English as well as 45% marks in
aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) are eligible for pursuing the AMIE
Degree and are registered as Technician (T) Members
