The current model of the universe is based on four elements. Energy and thermodynamics, information and mathematical systems, quantum mechanics, and space time relativity. The current model of the universe is based on four elements.
Energy and thermodynamics, information and mathematical
systems, quantum mechanics, and space time relativity. In our
approach, quanta are middle line yin, relativity is top line yin,
informati
on is bottom line yin and thermodynamics is bottom
line yang. From these four you can create two of the trigrams
of the I Ching, Chinese book of Changes, Thunder and Earth, or
contingency and objectivity.

Bottom line yang, thermodynamics implies and inf
inite flux that
makes the improbable probable. That infinite flux, or the
everything from which individual quantum events emerge, is
the middle line yang that is the opposite of middle line yin. The
improbability that is generated by this infinite flux i
s also the
anthropic observer, the observer that is himself, herself
improbable but must be improbable, thus at a high level of
organization to make the observations that she, he makes, this
is top line yang. This sixth element generates the tetrahedron
of the eight trigrams and eight metaphysical Kantian positions:
Infinite Heaven to finite Earth, simple impressions of Mountain
to complex Lake, necessary formal elements of Wind to
contingent Thunder, and indeterminate Flame to determinate
Water Pit.

In
his book “Cosmos and Psyche,” Richard Tarnas demonstrates
that there is an astrological element to events that can be
attributed to synchronicity. Synchronicity simple adds the
quantum connection that necessarily exists between observed
events and adds th
e subjectivity of the observer as a creative
Heaven element that complements the material world of the
Earth trigram. It is from the Heaven trigram that the Platonic
world of the improbable, of principle and system, of the
Neoplatonic cosmic mind emerges
from the probable through
the medium of the infinite flux that is the three elements of the
Hindu trinity, Vishnu as the infinite, Shiva as flux, and Brahma
as the creative improbable, as top line yang. It is this top line
yang, this creative mind that is

the spiritual origin of the
collective unconscious order that generates all things according
to the Pneuma, Psyche, Soma formula, Spirit, Mind, and Body,
that is the eye to the Mountain trigram, top line creative yang
generating middle line created yin th
rough the medium of
bottom line cosmic information system mind.

This synchronicity order generates a zodiac that traces the
movement of the Sun across the sky according to a pattern that
sets out four cardinal positions of Fire
, Earth, Water, Air for the
cardinal signs of Aries, Capricorn, Cancer, and Libra equivalent
to the four faces of the trigram tetrahedron of Flame, Earth,
Lake and Wind and then positions planets within those faces
according to the sequence Cardinal position, bottom line yin
fixed po
sition, bottom line yang mutable position. This moves
through the signs according to the sequence Mars with Aries,
Venus with Taurus, Mercury with Gemini, Moon with Cancer,
then Sun with Leo, Mercury with Virgo, Venus with Libra, Pluto
with Scorpio, Jupit
er with Sagittarius, Saturn with Capricorn,
Uranus with Aquarius, and Neptune with Pisces. There is a
shadow solar Pluto in Aries and a shadow lunar Jupiter in
Pisces, shadow lunar Saturn in Aquarius, Uranus in Capricorn,
Neptune in Sagittarius. Solar Ma
rs is strong in Scorpio, but is
dominated by the lunar Pluto shadow because of the strength
of shadow in Fixed Water Scorpio.

As a result of these effects, Jupiter dominates the Heaven
trigram and Saturn dominates Earth. Venus dominates the
Wind trigram
and Mercury dominates Thunder. The Water Pit
trigram is ruled by the Moon and Pluto, the Flame trigram by
Mars and the Sun. The Mountain trigram is ruled by Uranus
and the Lake trigram by Neptune. There is a secondary Venus
influence in Earth from Tau
rus and a secondary Mercury
influence in Wind from Gemini.

Pluto and the Moon are the source of the fateful danger in
Water Pit. Uranus is the source of the isolation in Mountain.
Jupiter causes the creativity and expansion in Heaven and
Saturn generat
es the finiteness and limitations of Earth.
Jupiter gives infiniteness to Heaven and Saturn gives finiteness
to Earth. Uranus is the singular separate simplicity of
Mountain and Neptune the complexity and diffusion of Lake.
Uranus is analytic truth an
d Neptune is synchronicity and
deceptive shadow. The Sun gives the creative indeterminate
ego and the Moon offers its shadow, determinism, cosmic tidal
law, the astrological fate generated by karmic collective system
and rebirth. Venus is the art and pe
rfection

of the Wind on the
adaptive peaks and Mercury is the Thunder of the
communications, the announcement,
and the

expression of its
messages. Venus is the necessary formal improbable symmetry
and Mercury is the contingent business of everyday entropy
.

Each of these four elemental cardinal positions, Earth, Water,
Fire, Air represents a humor and a neurotransmitter. Earth is
melancholy and the neurotransmitter GABA that causes things
to stop. Water is phlegmatic and the neurotransmitter
serotonin th
at is satisfied with what it has done. Air is sanguine
and is the neurotransmitter dopamine that always has high
hopes and expectations and ever wants more and more. Fire is
choleric and so it is the neurotransmitter
epinephrine

(
adrenalin
) that is alwa
ys in some kind of excited state. Thus
the Sun has the fire of bright self interest and Jupiter fire of
creativity, Mars has the fire of energy and struggle. Thus,
Flame is excessive
epinephrine

and Water Pit is the lack of it
(hence the very opposite of

bright and stimulating, thus, dark
and stuck and heavy with obedience and habitual response, in a
rut). Wind is excessive dopamine, causing the penetration of
all things, and Thunder is the lack of it (empty expression
devoid of deep meaning and purpose
, devoid of true drive).
Lake is excessive serotonin, thus excessive joy and satisfaction
and Mountain is the lack of it, thus swollen up with
dissatisfaction and resistance. Earth is excessive GABA and thus
stopped and weighted down with endings and te
rminations
and Heaven is the lack of it and thus goes on and on forever
into deep space.
