ICGEB

is

an

international,

intergovernmental

organisation

conceived

as

a

centre

of

excellence

for

advanced

research

and

training

in

genetic

engineering

and

biotechnology,

with

special

regard

to

the

needs

of

the

developing

world




It

strengthens

the

research

capability

of

its

members

through

training

and

funding

programmes

and

advisory

services,

and

represents

a

comprehensive

approach

to

promoting

biotechnology

internationally




This

approach

holds

out

the

prospect

of

advancing

knowledge

and

applying

the

techniques

the
