theTA805 / TA810
Face
Recognition Terminal

Why is the TA810 unable to Verify?

Quick Fix: Make sure that the SD Card is
installed correctly.

Why? With the TA810 the SD card is used to
store images and records. Without being
installed correctly, the terminal will reject all
users.

Why is the TA810 showing a “No
SD” message on the Screen?

Quick Fix: Make sure that the SD Card is
installed correctly and/or formatted correctly.
The Format should be “FAT32”

Why? With the TA810 the SD card is used to
store images and records. Without being
installed correctly, the terminal will reject all
users. No SD means it is not installed or
formatted correctly.

Why is the USB drive menu not
working?

Quick Fix: Make sure that the terminal does
not have an admin assigned to it. If so, after
the customer puts the USB thumb drive in
the terminal. The terminal will need the
admin’s face to show the menu, just like the
Functions menu.

Why? Once an admin is set all menu
functions are tied to their face.

Why can’t I input my IP address?

Quick Fix: The TA810 requires that all three
digits be included in each section. For
example, if the IP address they have is
10.36.7.0 they need to input
010.036.007.000
.

Why? Based on the specs for China and
other parts of the world, FaceIN is hard
coded for 12 digits.

Why are there 2 camera and what
are the differences?

Quick Fix: Two cameras help provide the higher
reliability that we are seeing with the TA810. One
camera is color and the other is black and white

Why? Having two cameras allows us the ability to
make the TA810 fool proof. The Black and white
camera is focused on face detection and key points
on the Face. The color camera is focused on
dimensions of the face.

What is the maximum SD card size?

Quick Fix: It is recommended that a max of
4GB be used.

Why? Based on the limits of the internal
memory of the TA810 terminal 4GB is
recommended because at any giving point
the same amount of data will be the same on
the internal memory and the SD card!

How do you connect the
TA810 to an
electromagnetic lock?

TA810

How do you connect the
TA810 to an
electromagnetic lock using
a Wiegand signal?

TA810

What are the 4 authentication
methods and there purpose?

Quick Fix: Face Only, Pin and Face, Card and Photo
and Card and Face

Why? The different methods provide added security
and determine how the matching algorithm works:

Face Only (1:N)

Pin and Face (1:1)

Card and Photo (1:N)

Card and Face (1:1)

What is happening during the
registration process.

Quick Fix: The registration process should take 15 to
30 seconds, in which the terminal is capturing 17
images of the face to create a face template for the
user.

Why? The 17 images are for the face template that
the terminal will use to verify or deny the user. Make
sure each user follows the enrollment tips located in
the Quick Start Guide.

Quick Fix: The terminal will stop storing
records, so all records need to be exported
and then cleared from the terminal

Why? The terminal is not setup to overwrite
records. Once the terminal’s storage
memory reaches 80%, the device will pop up
an alarm message to notify users.

What will happen when the

memory is full?

How do I access the functions
menu once I have an admin set?

Quick Fix: Press the Menu key and then allow
the terminal to scan the Admin’s face.

Why? Once an admin is set all menu
functions are tied to their face.

How do I punch in or out using Pin
and Face?

Quick Fix: Press the back arrow key located
next to the 3 key. Then enter you user
number, so the terminal can scan the users
face for verification

Why? When using Pin and Face the Pin is
actually tied to the face, so the terminal
needs the PIN # first to pull up the correct
Face Template.

Why can’t I punch in or out for
work, but I am the admin?

Quick Fix: If not connected to the software, default
the terminal and setup the admins again, but make
sure they add themselves as users right after
registering their faces. If using software you can
reset the admin in the software.

Why? In order to punch on the terminal they must be
a registered user in addition to the admin
responsibility.
