Portable and easy to read, the XL-PMI Series lets users quickly and
reliably identify crucial aluminum alloys. Typical alloying agents
include light elements such as magnesium and silicon. The light
element analysis capability of the XL-PMI+ Ultra ensures proper alloy use.
Power Generation
The point-and-shoot simplicity of the XL-PMI Series measures critical
factors, such as the amount of chromium, molybdenum and copper
in piping that can lead to Flow Accelerated Corrosion (FAC) in your
power plant.
Oil & Gas
The XL-PMI Series has one of the lowest levels of detection for silicon.
It is the ideal way to predict corrosion in existing pipes and fittings in
older refineries. A low silicon content reading (<0.10%) of the pipes
helps you determine when to replace the system components before
there is an incident.
