How to install HRActions into the Default Website on IIS

Assumptions:

1.

You have Sage Abra Suite or Sage HRMS installed

2.

You have SQL Server 2005, 2008 or 2012 installed

3.

If you are running Sage Abra Suite the SQL server install MUST be a 32bit version. It
can be a
32bit version running on a 64bit server, but it has to be 32bit SQL. This does not apply to the
Sage HRMS SQL product.

1.

First we need to get IIS installed on the Server. Right click on Computer, then click on Manage.
Under Roles click on Add Ro
les.

2.

Click on Next, then select Web Server (IIS). Click on Next.

3.

Click on Next, then on the Select Role Service screen match the items I have selected. Click Next

4.

Click on Install
. Then click on Close once it is finished.

5.

Now click on Feature,
and Add Features.

6.

Check the .NET Framework 3.5.1 Features box so it gets installed. Also make sure the SMTP
Server feature is installed if you plan on installed Sage ESS. Click on Next, Next, Next, Install.
Click on Close once it is finished installin
g. Close out Server Manager.

7.

Next you need to obtain a copy of the HRActions software. Call up the HRActions support line at
614
-
754
-
4343 to find out how to download your software.

8.

Create a domain userID called HRActions. Just give it basic user rights.

9.

Next add that ID to the following groups in the server manager. Administrators and IIS_IUSERS.

10.

Next you need to determine if you are using Sage Abra Suite or Sage HRMS. If you are using
Abra Suite then yo
u will need to do steps 11, 12, 13 and 14. If yo
u are using SQL skip down to
step 15.

11.

Get on the Abra Suite server.

12.

Go to the Abra Suite share you have setup for your clients. Make sure you add in the HRActions
to the share. Give it full control in the permissions and push those permissions down th
rough
the directory.

13.

Go to your SQL Server. Make sure the SQL Server service
is running under the HRActions
domain account you created.

14.

Unzip your HRActions software. Drill into the PreRequisites
\
VFPOLEDB folder. Run the
VFPOLEDBSetup folder on your IIS

Server and the SQL server.
In addition verify your SQL Server is running a 32bit version of SQL. If it is a 64bit version of SQL
it will not work with Abra Suite Foxpro versions. Microsoft has only written a 32bit version of
the Foxpro driver.

15.

Next
go into the HRASetup folder and run setup.exe

16.

Click on Next.
