2012 is a leap year, so

Get a jump on better money management

You may already have a firm grip on your finances. But since 2012 is a leap
year, why not take a bold step and try some new ideas?

Track your spending better

Trick yourself into saving

You won’t spend what you can’t see. Why not open up a separate savings
account at USCCU and use automatic transfers to put a little awa

payday. You’ll forget all about it and before you can say “We need a new
dishwasher”, you’ve got the funds for it.

Message from the President

A sincere “thank you”
to everyone who joined USC Credit Union last fall.
You took a stand by telling your old bank you were tired of new fees every
time you turned around.

It seems the loss of free checking was the final straw for many of you. While
free checking still thrives

here, you’ll find our value extends to all our
products and services.

And we have enough value to go around; I urge you to refer

your friends,
family and co
-
workers to USC Credit Union. Like you, they’ll wonder why
they waited so long.

Welcome aboard, an
d Fight On!

Stoplight on

Karla Rodriguez, Financial Services Representative

Karla Rodriguez is invaluable to new members and current members; she
opens new accounts, explains our services and helps members take better
advantage of all we off
er.

Q. Tell us about your USC Credit Union experience.

A. I started as a teller ten years ago, and I’ve watched the credit union grow
in members, products and services offered, and number of staff. It’s been a
very satisfying experience.

Q. What do you en
joy most about your position?

A. I like helping members discover the whole range of services we offer,
like auto loans, checking, personal loans, IRAs and more. But I’m especially
pleased when I review a member’s credit report with them, pointing out
thing
s they didn’t know and educating them on how to get inaccurate
information corrected.

It can be very eye
-
opening for the members!

Q. What’s it like working at the Health Sciences Campus branch?

A. It’s great because it’s easier to get to know members. I ca
n work with
them on a one
-
on
-
one basis. They really appreciate that personal touch, like
how we get to know them by their first names.

Q. We hear you’re quite a soccer fan.

A. Well, with three children playing on soccer teams, I’ve certainly become
a fan.

They’re 8, 9 and 11 and I love watching their games.

Congratulations to Game Day Dream winners

New features make cars safer

Today, vehicle safety is as important as fuel economy for many car buyers.
Manufacturers are introducing important n
