Semester: Fall 2013

Title: Game Engine Programming

Instructor: William J. Wolfe

This game programming research will focus on the Unity3D Game Engine. The Unity3D physics, object
geometry, collision detection, dynamics,
event handling,
perspective, shading, and light source options
will be evaluated and tested on basic game concepts
such as action, puzzle, adventure and simulation
.
The programming languages, libraries, and related software tools provided by Unity3D will
also
be
evaluated
.

The student will pro
gram several simple games

to test the system capabilities and then
design a more sophistocated game that involves a more elaborate 3D environment and agent
embeddings. Finally, the ability to port graphics created i
n other applications such as Lightwave will be
investigated and demonstrated.
