This course provides an introduction to the technologies used to create applications which use the World Wide
Web. It explains how the various tiers of an N-tier system work together and covers client, server, and back-
end tools and concepts, including XML and Web Services. Example applications are presented to
demonstrate the various technologies. The course describes both the J2EE and Microsoft .NET architectures,
and several of the most popular database products.
