Course Purpose:

The course introduces the different types of electric power converters like
rectifiers, choppers, and inverters. The applicatio
n of power converters to
motor control and power supplies is included. The characteristics of different
power semiconductor devices and their application to power conversion are
described.


Problems:

It is the student's responsibility to work the assigned

problems.

Selected problems and extra problems

may be turned in for credit.
