The National Planning Framework 2: Discussion Draft and accompanying documents were issued on
anuary 2008 for a 14 week consultation. The consultation period closed on 15th April 2008.

In accordance with the Environme
ntal Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005, a Strategic
Environmental Report was produced in January 2008, which described the
anticipated environmental effects of the

put forward by stakeholders, including members of the public. The environmental effects of these
Candidate National Developments are now being considered as part of the SEA.
