he CTP+ (Convergence Technologies Professional) series of
courseware prepares students for the CTP+ certification exam. The
CTP+ series consists of three courses: Data Networking, Telephony
Networking and Convergence Technologies.



The CTP+ certification

validates that an individual has the core
knowledge and skills required by equipment manufacturers, their
channel partners and end users to sell and service convergence
technologies. CTP+ shortens the path to vendor
-
specific
certifications. For individual
s, CTP+ certification is a gateway to
sales and service careers in the convergence industry. For
companies, CTP+ certification is a gateway to lower training costs
and a convergence

capable workforce.



The Data Networking course teaches students the funda
mentals of
networking. Through hands
-
on training, students will learn the
vendor

independent networking skills and concepts required for
entry
-
level professionals seeking employment in the Information
Technology (IT) or telecommunications industries.



The

Telephony Networking course teaches students how to install
and troubleshoot analogue and digital phone lines in home and PBX
installations. Students will learn about basic telephony concepts,

standards, and PBX elements.



The Convergence Technologies course teaches students the
fundamental concepts, standards and practises that combine
telephony and data networks into convergence networks. Topics
include industry standards and protocols, Voic
