Commonly Asked Questions

Q: Why do I have to provide this information?

A:

To understand how the Agency is migrating the IT portfolio toward the target
architecture, and to understand the relationships among various projects and their
milestones (for example, to help establish priorities for the enterprise tools, so they’ll be
ready for program office needs).

Q: What is the timeframe for providing this information?

A: Complete and return by January 25, 2008 (see previous slide for dates of open work
sessions)

Q: What if my projects do not have any known dependencies?

A: Only identify milestone dependencies where they exist.

Q: What is meant by “reporting on progress against milestones”?

A: OMB only needs a “yes” or “no” for whether prior year milestones were met. More
specific information is not currently needed.
