The first order of
action was to review and approve the minutes from the January 20, 2012
meeting. The minutes were displayed, reviewed. There were no changes needed. A motion was
made, seconded, and carried unanimously.

: ACS has ordered the initial part of an HPC cluster for
campus use in research computing. There will be a central location for faculty doing research to
perform computations.

major revamping
effort underway
.

ACS was involved in getting the new INFORM system (along with ITS)
working the
campus.

Desire2Learn (D2L)

will be the new C
ourse M
anagement System (CMS)
starting

in
January

2013. GeorgiaVIEW Vista will be phased
out but
will remain available for faculty until February
of 2013.

After this date it will be very difficult to access.


There is a
new website up for

D2L
http://d2l.kennesaw.edu
. All KSU courses will be switched
over to D2L in spring 2013. Faculty training
for D2L
will begin in August 2012.
