Hints and Tips
1.
InSite pages are best viewed when using the Internet Explorer web
browser.
2.
Multiple login prompts
–
If you are logged in via a personal computer (only used by
you), you have the option to have your browser
remember
your
username/password for InSite.
Place the InSite server URL in your browser’s Local Intranet Security Zone for IE
and Firefox as follows:
For Internet Explorer:
1.
Go to the InSite web site.
2.
From the Internet Explorer
Tools
menu choose
Internet
Options
.
3.
Click the
Security
tab.
4.
Click
Local Intranet
. Click the
Sites
button.
5.
Click the
Advanced
button.
6.
Check
the
Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this
zone
check box.
7.
Confirm that
https://insite.rosalindfranklin.edu/
is in the Add this
website to the zone box.
8.
Click the
Add
button. The address should appear in the Websites list.
9.
Click the
Close
button.
10.
Click
OK
. Click
OK
.
11.
Exit Internet Explorer.
12.
Re
-
open Internet Explorer and go to your SharePoint site.

When accessing SSL webpages (using https://) the browser IE version 8 will
sometimes present a pop
-
up warning message repeatedly asking you about
displaying non
-
secure conten
t. You can either upgrade your browser to the current
version 9 or modify the browser settings as described here:
1.
Go
to Tools
-
>Internet Options
-
>Security and add the
InSite URL
to the
Local Intranet Security Zone
as described earlier in this document.

The
n click the
Custom Level
button
3.
In the
Miscellaneous
section change
Display mixed content
from
Prompt
to
Enable.
This will allow you to view both secure SSL content and non
-
secure content on the same page.
