almost never improves, but if quality of life is your number
one objective, your standard of living almost always

Ghana Standards Board plays important role… but the
GSB role play is not everything quality is about

Traditional Definitions of Quality & Shortfalls

1) Shortfall

Traditional Quality approaches focus more on
Conformity
Assessment
and
Conformance to Standards
, regardless
of whether the product, even if it meets the standards,
actually create value for the customer

9

Traditional Definitions of Quality & Shortfalls

2) Shortfall

Traditional quality approaches promote the improvement
of quality only up to the level of a given
STANDARD

Traditional Quality does not promote continuous
improvement, it has not helped our industries to do a
better job in becoming world class companies
