The QTS skills tests

tests cover the core skills that teachers need to fulfil their
wider professional role in schools, rather than the subject
knowledge required for teaching. This is to ensure all teachers
are competent in numeracy [and] literacy regardless of their
specialism*. (TDA 2011)

short term of TA funded lap tops to ITE students


up to date resources and equipment in the university (some of which can be
loaned out to students for use in schools to support teaching and learning)

a personal tutor in the university who will oversee your personal, training
and pastoral needs (normally your subject coordinator)
