Step 1> Install the necessary applications

Installing Netbeans 5.5

Download it from
http://www.netbeans.info/downloads/index.php
.


1.

Once you have downloaded the installer file, doubl
e
-
click the installer's icon to
launch the installer.

2.

In the install wizard, respond to the License Agreement, then click Next.

3.

Specify an empty directory within which to install the IDE.

Note:

This NetBeans IDE will not disrupt the settings of your other

NetBeans
installations because the IDE automatically creates a new user directory when
launched (
${HOME}/.netbeans/5.5
.1
).

4.

On the same page of the wizard, specify an empty directory within which to
install the Application Server and click Next.

5.

Choose th
e JDK you want the IDE to use from the list of suitable choices in the
list,
and then

click
next
.

6.

Verify that the installation location is correct and that you have adequate space on
your system for the installation.

7.

Click Next to begin the installation.

You also need to download NetBeans 5.5
.1

Visual Web pack to make use of upload
package of java. You can download it from http://www.netbeans.org/products/visualweb/

select the project.

5.1> Select the location from dr
opdown list or add new locatio

Enter the information required for date and time

Click on ‘Generate Grid’ and enter the grid information

Click on ‘Calculate’ and see the sun’s vector,

altitude, azimuth

and normal


5.5> Select
the heliostat and get the shading and bloc
king values


5.6> Increment ∆R/∆A and observe new shading and blocking values


5.7> Observe the values written into text file


Note:

We
have two project folders, s
olar
Tower and u
ploadFile. Make sure you have both
the project folder open in order to run the

project

and choose s
olarTower as the main
project
.
