Objective
:


The course aims to develop the skills of students in area of micro
biology. Here
hands on training is offered for the students to study microbes, their
identifications & characterization and their practical uses.

Learning outcome and use
:


At the end of the course the student would have learnt about the culturing of
micr
oorganism, their identification using simple staining techniques. Thus this
hands on training will be very beneficial for them to undertake project work in the
later semesters.

Safety Precautions:


Students should be very careful with the
pathogenic micro
bes

that would be used
during the course of the work.


5.

Method of Assessment:


Based on the student’s attendance in the lab hours, their involvement and skill
displayed, and the submission of observation and practical record books.
