Mini
-
presentations

In order to
promote

a more active learning environment, students will now be
responsible for giving “mini
-
presentations” at the beginning of class. These are not
intended to exceed 5
-
10

minutes in length, nor should it require extensive outside
preparation. Nevertheless, it will require some thinking in advance about what you
might like to say. Select
one image
that you feel is representative of some aspect of
the days’ topic.
(This mig
ht mean reading in advance to find out what the day’s topic is
all about before selecting the image.)
It is up to you to find the image,
which should be
e
-
mailed to me by noon the day of class, so that I have time to include it in my
PowerPoint presentatio
n. Failure to give a presentation on the day you are scheduled
will adversely impact your participation score.
