SIDE TOURNAMENT

GENERAL NOTES & ETIQUETTE

It is recommended that teams register at least 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled start of their
respective age groups. Due to the number of games to be played it will not be possible to re
-
schedule games for late
-
comers.

Toilet facilities are available bu
t please be patient during times of high demand.

First Aid assistance is available.

Refreshments will be available including hot food and drinks. No alcohol should be taken
into the grounds.

There will be a number of large rubbish bins distributed aroun
d the ground. However, to
make it easier for everyone to keep the grounds litter
-
free, a bin liner will be issued to each
team at registration.

The event is organised and run entirely by volunteers. Your help and co
-
operation in ensuring
games are played
on time and in good spirit will be appreciated by all concerned.

Please complete all your team
-
talks whilst the preceding game is in progress in order to
ensure that your match starts promptly.

Please don’t demand Referees to stop the game every time a p
layer is injured. If a player is in
need of attention, encourage your own players to put the ball out of play before drawing the
referee’s attention to the injured player.

All officials, players and spectators should encourage fair play so we can all enjoy the games.
Although winning is important, it is vital that we do not forget that football is first and
foremost a sport and should be fun for all concerned.

The organiser
s accept no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury incurred by players,
officials or spectators at the tournament venue during the event. Unruly or unsporting
behaviour will not be tolerated. Offending persons will be asked to leave.

We have a wait
ing list and it would be very helpful if you could notify Kevin Millar of any
cancellations on 07947159557 as early as possible.

Should you get lost or delayed en route, please ring 07947159557 or 07905602271 and we
will do our very best to help.

Should
anyone have concerns, please approach the South Shields Junior officials, who will be
in evidence by their fluorescent yellow bibs.
