CIS 267 or CISNC 267 - Intermediate Networking I – LAN Switching and Wireless (Cisco Exploration III)

Course Description This course teaches the technologies and protocols needed to design and
implement a converged switched network. Students learn about the
hierarchical network design model. Students also learn to implement VLANs,
VTP, STP, and Inter-VLAN routing. The third of four courses providing a
foundation for the Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) and
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certifications.

Course Objectives

In order to successfully complete this course, the student must do the following:
 Understanding how switches move traffic through a network
 Configure VLANs
 Use the Spanning-Tree Protocol to prevent switching loops
 Configure routing between VLANs
 Enable and configure VTP
 Become familiar with Switches
