Technically seen the interface to the e:cue
Programmer core engine is a HTTP interface. So
actually any user created web page with
AJAX/HTTP could interact with the Programmer
and this is what some e:cue users are already
doing since quite a while.


But with Programmer 5.3 the hassle with HTTP
itself can be avoided by simply using the build in
functions.


Just create your
ActionPad

page. The e:cue
Programmer creates HTTP, Flash, XML and all
the other stuff for you

What is RDM?


In Short:


RDM is the enhanced version of DMX for bidirectional
communication with the lighting fixtures.


By definition each RDM lighting fixture is also an DMX lighting
fixture.


In general the whole RDM communication is handled in the
background so that the lighting fixtures can still be operated with
full DMX speed as being used to.
