SCIENTIFIC

CONFERENCE

Cryptography and its

Applications in the Armed Forces

Friday

6
April

2012

Aim

AbroadspectrumofmodernscientificresearchinMilitaryScience is based on the application of cryptographic
methods. In

particular, mathematical thinking and methodology are widely applied, whereas the
construction of relevant paradigms is at the heart of much scientific work. Hitherto, in

Greece,

there has not
been a conference focused upon the various thematic areas and
applications of cryptography. In the
framework of promoting Mathematics and its applications, the HellenicMilitaryAcademy, the Department
of Mathematics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and the
Greek Mathematical
Society

are jointly o
rganizing the first conference on Cryptography and its application in the Armed Forces.

The Conference aims at:

1.

The presentation of researchpapersand
the
exchange ofideasandviewpoints

2.

The promotion of collaboration

and
