SIDEREUS is a business matchmaking event between European and
Southeast Asian companies operating in the aerospace and ICT sectors
on satellite navigation applications with a special focus on GALILEO.
SIDEREUS is
coordinated by Filas and is cofinanced by the European
Commission
through the Asia Invest Programme in order to promote and
support cooperation amongst European and Asian enterprises, increase
business opportunities and investments in the two regions

The Project Sidereus Plenary Conference and Matchmaking event were
successfully held on November 26-28, 2008 in Beijing, China.
SIDEREUS brought together about 200 SMEs and larger European and
Asian industries, operating in the ICT and aerospace sectors, for a
matchmaking event that featured nearly 1400 meetings.

It is estimated that no less than 15% of these meetings should lead to
entrepreneurial cooperation agreements.
