The scope of this specification is the design, supply, installation, and integration of
pallet rack, and other storage equipment for
a new

warehouse at the Blue Plains (BP)
site of the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (DC Water) in Washington
,
DC.

The scope includes the delivery and unloading of all new rack components
, along with

the installation of the specified equipment
.

The warehouse is approximately

welding surfaces shall be ground smooth and painted to match the color of the

in the specification. The allowable beam deflection under load is 1/180 of
the load beam span. The "step" beam design is preferred. The load beam shall
secure to the uprights with positive locking connectors.

placard attached to the rack (per RMI spec) shall also include a notice stating that
removal or relocation of beams in the rack may result in a reduction of total load
capacity.

required at the aisles ending at the office aisle. These barriers

way gates allowing emergency egress from the warehouse aisle to the
office aisle. Design of this barrier is at the discretion o
f the supplier. The referenced
drawing illustrates a nominal design. The design must allow easy egress from the
