III. COURSE OBJECTIVES


This course will primarily concern with the architecture and the various peripheral
modules of a microcontroller and issues to interfacing to a mechatronical
system. Ta achieve
this goal, students will understand the programming model and basic features of a
microcontroller and will be able to write download and run PIC Basic language programs on a
microcontroller. Afterwards they will be able to use a microcon
troller to control the operation
of a robot, develop a measurement instrument.
