OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) is no longer a separate download. It is now included in the
Informix Client SDK installer and Informix bundle installer.


Choose ‘custom’ installation and choose OAT and its plug

Previously only the high level command executed was tracked. Now, starting with
11.70.xC2, OAT tracks the entire command including arguments.

Menu: Health Center > Health Advisor


Analyzes the state of the Informix database server


Gathers information about the database server, the databases, and the operating system,
and creates a report that contains the results and recommendations.


Approximately 50 different items in 5 different categories are checked


Each alarm can be enabled/disabled


Some have thresholds that can be defined


Some have exceptions that can be defined


Execute the Health Advisor reports manually or automatically on a schedule


Reports can be emailed automatically


Create custom profiles allow the alerts to be tailed to a specific environment
