STEPS FOR INSTALLATION

DO Not Anchor any walk in bathtub to the wall through the tile
flange. This can tweak the frame and cause the door
of the tub to leak.

1.

1. The Walk
-
In Tub is supplied with a deck mounted faucet assembly. Most installations are done mounting
the faucets on the deck into the pre drilled holes. There are five pieces to th
e faucet system Hot water
control lever, Cold water control lever, Diverter lever, Roman tub spout, and the Hand held shower. Follow
Instructions to install all five pieces onto the deck of the Walk
-
In bathtub. Next follow instruction diagram to
connect al
l Flex water supply lines correctly (make sure all supply hoses have gaskets).

2.

2. If the Walk
-
In Tub is replacing an existing tub or shower, First shut off water to bathroom (Check to make
sure there is no water running to the shower) remove the existing b
athtub or shower, being extra careful not
to damage the surrounding areas. Before proceeding, thoroughly remove all debris and clean the installation
area and surrounding area.

3.

3. Find water supply and properly connect ball valves or variation of shut of
f valves. (Make sure water supply
lines are cut straight and are thoroughly cleaned and that valves are in the off position)

4.

4. Make sure drainage lines are easily accessible. If not do the appropriate plumbing so that these lines are
easily accessible.

5.

5.

Clean all debris from bathroom and bathtub area.

6.

6. Make sure there is a clear route for the Walk
-
in bathtub to be carried in.

7.

7. Measure all doorways to ensure the walk
-
in bathtub will fit. If not carefully remove the framing of the
necessary doorways.

8.

8
. Bring walk
-
in bathtub into bathroom using clear route and place into desired location.

9.

9. Heavy duty support leveling legs and not the bathtub's framework will be on the floor. Although the four
corner leveling legs are most important for support, all le
veling legs must rest flush on the floor, with the end
result that the Tub is completely Level. Level the Walk
-
In Tub from the highest elevation point on the floor.
Adjust all support leveling legs so that the bottom of the frame of the Walk
-
In Tub is leve
l. Remember, all
legs must rest flush on the floor.

10.

10. Use an extra long level (at least 5') to insure Tub is level before proceeding any further. Remember to
use the bottom of the Tub's frame for leveling.

11.

11. Connect hot and cold supply lines to proper
flex hoses using 3/4" male adapters.

EX: connections for faucets (found at local home depot)

We supply hoses that can be used however they are a courtesy and

supplying your own are recommended.3/4 inch
hoses often found in the water heater dep
artment work great. Do not forget to use Teflon on all connections and
check for o rings as well. You may only get 3
-
5 turns on some adapters please test prior to installation.

1.

12. Attach drain using 1 1/2 Drain pipe (1 1/2 threaded street 90 recommended)

making sure that all
drainage is at a 1/8" decline

2.

13. Ensure that the top edges against all walls are sound. Make sure walk
-
in bathtub is securely in desired
location. Use screws to secure feet soundly to the ground.

Now to build custom fill box

3.

14. Use

2"x 2" pressure treated studs to frame in custom fill box (4 studs should be used). Make sure these
are securely connected to frame studs.

4.

15. Measure distance from the side of the walk
-
in tub to wall (Use 2 or more measurements). Cut the side
custom pane
l to desired size.

5.

16. Repeat step for top custom panel.

6.

17. Use a powerful adhesive (such as: power grab) to secure panels to studs.

7.

18. Use appropriate sealant on all spaces between bathtub and wall to ensure that no water can penetrate.

Let all glue an
d sealants settle!!!

Tips and Warnings

Tips and Warnings

DO Not Anchor any w
alk in bathtub to the wall through the tile flange. This can tweak the frame and cause the door
of the tub to leak.

Children and severely handicapped individuals, should not be allowed to use the Tub, unless under close
adult supervision.

Electrical device
s (such as a hair dryer, telephones reading lamp, electric shaver charger, radios, television
sets, etc.) should not be allowed anywhere near the Tub while in use.

Prior to using the Tub, users with known medical conditions, such as pregnancy, kidney Disea
se, diabetes,
heart problems, high/low blood pressure, etc., should discuss appropriate use with their professional medical
advisers. Users on prescription or over the
-
counter medications should also consult their medical adviser
before use.

Use of drugs a
nd/or alcoholic beverages before or during Tub use can lead to loss of consciousness and
potentially drowning.

Other than for purposes described in the Customer "Use & Care Guide", any other use or misuse will
invalidate the Warranty.

Door Handles are for
entering and exiting the Walk
-
In Tub. Door handles are not to be used as grab bars
and doing so can compromise the integrity of the water
-
tight seal and may void the warranty.

Interfering, modifying, disassembling or changing the installer's installation o
f any of the mechanical,
electrical and structural parts, without express written permission of Fountain of Youth Bathrooms INC. will
void the warranty and could subject the user to bodily harm.

Keep the areas adjacent to the Tub and in particular in front

of the door, clean and dry. A non

highly recommended.

If while running the hydrotherapy system unusual noises, odors or smoke is noticed, push the "TEST" button
on the GFI socket to interrupt power and call a licensed electrician.

Never insert

any object of any kind into slots, jets, and openings on the Tub. Doing so could create a risk of
shock.

Do not fill the Tub with water above the threshold prior to entering it and securely closing the door.

Although we recommend that temperatures of the
bath water should never exceed 104'(F) and use should
be limited to approximately 15 to 20 minutes, followed by a cool shower, you should always consult your
professional medical adviser and follow his/her advice on these matters. Considerably lower temper

consult your child's professional medical adviser and follow his/her advice on these matters.

Never use the Tub during a lightning storm as this could
create a risk of electrical shock.

Faucet Instructions

Installation of the 5
-
piece American Standard faucet

1. Uninstalled

This is the state of the valve we sent you.

2. Divide the valve into the following two parts.

Note:

Do not remove other small p
arts from the valve. Just divide the valve into two parts as the picture above.
Otherwise you may miss some small parts and not be able to assemble them again.

3. Installation

Infix the bottom half piece through the hole(bottom
-
up), and then twist the up

half piece onto the trim and the thread
exposed on the tub in clockwise direction.

4. Wrong action and effect

If you divide the valve into many parts as the above picture, you may have some problems

1) Do not miss any small parts even a cushion ring or
a screw, otherwise it may leak.

2) See the inside picture of the up half piece.

Note:

Do not tighten the screw inside of the piece. Otherwise you can not twist the up half onto the thread of the
bottom half. That is not the problem of the thread, just b
ecause of the screw tightened. So if you have this problem,
just loose the screw and try it again. When the up half connects to the bottom half, the looseness will disappear.

5. Correct action and effect

If you install the valve in a correct way, the fin
ally effect is that only the lever (please see the above picture) can turn.
And the piece in the following picture can not turn.
