he objective of the
event is to provide a platform for the interaction of Industry and academicians workin
g in
the area of telematics. This event will bring into limelight the indigenous talent of the
students.

The two day event will host events like project exhibition cum competition,
Industrial Exhibits, Expert Lectures and many more on the spot technical ev
ents for
students.

The project exposition will be the right platform

for the students to

share and
update their technical knowledge

and also to
exhibit the working model of their
innovative ideas to other institutions and industry.

is a good opportunity for the students to get exposed to
the state of art technologies

The two day event will host expert talks in the field of telematics
by industry engineers and academicians from premiere instit
utions.

Competition
.


Projects should be in the area of Telematics from any Enginee
ring Discipline.
Projects are to

be innovative and can be technology oriented or application
oriented. The word Telematics has broader s
ense when applied in different
engineering and science disciplines and hence if you are in doubt about your
project you can send your abstract for further clarifications.


Projects can be hardware working models or software simulations. The categories
of c
ompetition will be based on the number of entries.


If the project has hardware working model, the hardware demo should be given
on the day of the event. Poster presentation is optional.


If the project has software working model, a poster presentation is

mandatory on
the day of the event.






ELIGIBILITY

FOR PROJECT COMPETITION




ELIGIBILE INSTITUTIONS:


Open to all AICTE recognized
colleges, universities and educational institutions.



ELIGIBLE STUDENTS:

the students of Underg
raduate and Postgrad
uate Programmes

Engineering/Sciences Stream

All students of Diploma/ Post Graduate Diploma Programmes

Engineering/Sciences Stream

PROJECT TEAMS
:

A

Project team may consist of:



A maximum of five students

in the case of Undergraduate and Dip
loma courses
.



A maximum of two Students in the case of Postgraduate
courses.



A project team cannot have a mix o
f Diploma, Undergraduate, Postg
raduate
students
.








HOW TO PARTICIPATE:





Step 1: Submission of the abstract:


The participating te
ams must
fill up

the details in the abstract submission form
available
at
www.vrsiddhartha.ac.in/tifac

and upload the abstract
in the website.


Note
: Abstr
act should be submitted within the

stipulated time (refer
to the Important
Dates).

For details regarding what the abstract must contain,

S
tep 2:

The final list of the selected abstracts will be announced within a week time from
the last date of abstract submission. Get yourself updated from the w
ebsite. If you are
selected, fill up
the main registration form and also send a demand draft (refer to event
registration for amount) in the name of “The Principal, VRSEC” payable at Vijayawada
by post within a week after the announcement of the finalists

(refer to Important dates).

Registration confirmat
ion will be mailed to
the participants.









Step 3
:


The participating teams shall undergo the

following

two reviews:




First Update:

Documentation on the status of the project should be sent (to be
maile
d or uploaded).

It may include progress made regarding software and hardware implementation,

updated time frames etc.


The document should be a minimum of 150 words.





Second Update:
Documentation on the current status along with the vid
eo of the
hardware/software
working

model should be sent (to be mailed).



Step 4
:

If the project is a simulation/software model, then poster presentation is
compulsory. If the project is a hardware model, then poster presentation is optional.

is good opportunity for the academicia to visit and
get exposed to the real research in
the
new

technologies and industry standard products.

Pionee
rs in the field of T
elematics from Industry and academicia will deliver
guest lectures in the applications and technology areas of Telematic
s. This will
give an insight in
to the state of art technologies being devel
oped for the
applications in

Tel
ematics. This event has limited seats and priority will be given
on first come first serve basis only.





Technical Spot events


Apart from the project competition, Industrial Exhibition and Expert Talks, the
two day event will host on spot technical event
s.


All the students are eligible

to participate in this event.

REGISTRATION

FOR PRATYAGRA:





No registration fee for the submission of the abstract.




If the abstract is selected, you need to register with an amount of
Rs.200/
-

for
each Undergradu
ate student

and
Rs.300/
-

for each postgraduate student

to
participate in the project competition. These participants can also avail the
opportunity of taking part in other spot events and
expert

lectures

(based on
availability).




The other students who ar
e interested in visiting the project exhibition, industrial
stalls, guest lectures and in participating in other technical events can have a spot
registration by paying an amount of Rs.100/
-

each.

Estimated cost of the project, i.e. making the working prototype



Estimated time scheduling with milestones to complete the prototype, if the
project abstract gets selected.

Use of visual aids like diagrams, charts, flow charts and tables are encouraged.
