A Note for NetBeans 6.5 Users
The examples in Chapter 41 in the text have been tested
using NetBeans 6.0 and 6.0.1. If you use NetBeans 6.5, you
need to add binding attributes for visual objects in order
to access them from the Java source code.
For example, to make the CurrentTime application in §41.2
to work with NetBeans 6.5, you need to add binding
attributes for stCurrentTime
between Step 2 and Step 3 on
Page 41-4 and 41-5, as follows:
Step 2.5: Right-click on stCurrentTime
in the Navigator
pane to display a content menu, as shown in the following
figure. Choose Add Binding Attributes. This step
automatically generates code that enables you to access
in the Java source code.
