Michal Pechoucek is a full professor in cybernetics (eqiv. to computer sci- ence) at the Czech Technical University (CTU). He is the Vice-Chairman of the Department of Cybernetics at CTU. He is the Head of the Agent Technol- ogy Center at CTU, which he has been continuously building since 2000. The research interests of Michal Pechoucek lie mainly in the fields of multiagent simulation and modeling, coordination, multi-agent planning and applications of agent-based computing into security related applications, UAV robotic coor- dination, air-traffic control and mixed mode urban traffic applications.

Michal Pechoucek is a full professor in cybernetics (eqiv.to computer sci-

He is the author of more than 20 contributions to SCI impacted journal and
more than 150 papers in other referred journals and conference proceedings.To
date his work is cited by more than 260 citations in ISI/WOS databases.His h-
index is 8.He,jointly with the team of co-authors,has been awarded by several
best-paper awards and nominations,best demo awards and the main prize of
Engineering academy of the Czech Republic in 2007.He has been awarded by
the Czech Mind for Invention in 2010,Google research award in 2009,Czech
Engineering Academy Award 2007.
Michal Pechoucek has been a PI on more than 25 research contracts and
grants provided by US Air Force,CERDEC US Army,Office for Naval Research.
He run two research contracts provided by the FAA and cooperated on two ad-
ditional research grants funded by NASA.His research has been also funded by
industry including Rockwell Automation,FOXCON,Denso AUTOMOTIVE,
CADANCE Design Systems and others.He was the AAMAS Industry track
chair in 2005,AAMAS SPC in 2008 and 2010.He is a honorary member of Ar-
tificial Intelligence Application Institute at University of Edinburgh and member
of advisory board of the Center for Advanced Information Technology,Univer-
sity of Binghamton.He is a Fulbright fellowship recipient funding his visiting
professorship at University of Southern California.He is co-founder of Cognitive
Security,and AgentFly Technologies,two Czech start-up companies.He is an
advisory board member of the FL3XX,an Austrian start-up company.
