BSB adopts new business model and renews with growth


Structural savings of EUR 5 million

BSB has announced that its EBITDA is again
positive and its
financial results are in line with the forecast made a year ago, when the company embarked on a
series of cost saving measures

to restore its competitiveness
. To consolidate this trend, BSB has now
completed a comprehensiv
e review of its b
usiness model and
an internal reorganisation
,
which will
deliver structural savings of EUR 5 million.

The reorganisation will be completed by the end of March
2014.

The

reorganisation
focuses

on a more rational distribution of BSB’s development and integra
tion
teams across the company’s sites (Belgium, Luxembourg, France, and Tunisia) and a rebalancing of
the R&D activity. In addition, the new business model increases the resources available for customer
integration in Europe, Africa and Asia by 28%.

Furthe
rmore, BSB’s sales performance is good. Its two
main

markets have picked up and performance
is forecast to increase sharply in 2014 and 2015. Additionally, BSB’s two core products


Solife and
Soliam
--

are well suited to new market challenges. Solife is p
articularly
suitable

to
both
the challenges
facing a
developing

insurance industry in emerging markets and to the need for effective cost control
in more mature ones. Soliam provides the tools to meet
the
new
challenges

facing

the asset and
wealth manageme
nt industry, which is
confronted

by changes to bank secrecy, among other
trends
.
Lastly, BSB’s SAP business is
also expanding strongly due to

healthy
demand in Belgium and
Luxembourg
.

In 2014, BSB should outperform the market thanks to
a

healthier financia
l situation, a return to
competitiveness, a promising commercial outlook and
a

regained investment capacity.
