Each week I would plan 5 days of Daily:


Essential Question within the Essential Standard:
Displayed
on a white board or on each student’s computer screen
(using Net Support software)


Guided Practice:
Bell Ringer, Teaching/Instructional time,
Brainstorm, and/or Discussion in teams or whole class.
Students take notes using student made graphic organizers
or Cornell note taking method

Independent Practice:
A planned Activity: individual or
group where students use their current knowledge, notes,
and research the internet/magazines/newspapers or other
materials to complete the project based assignment.


Assessment:
Homework, completed student notes/graphic
organizer, assignment in hardcopy (MSOffice or hand
drawn), oral presentation (informal or formal), quiz or test.

Standard/Performance Outcome/Indicator:


Use the MBA objective QA’s as Lecture/Teaching
opportunities, OR have students research answers using the
internet and/or lecture notes. Students should work towards
answering all , as well as their notes taken in class.

(school, city, county, state, national, global), guest speaker,
field trip, Junior Achievement, FBLA, etc.

Assessment


Daily notes were required for all students . Notes were at times
collected and graded to stress the necessity to take excellent
notes. Notes were either in the form of Cornell University note
taking method or graphic organizers that students learned to
create (concept map, KWL, compare/contrast diagrams, etc).
