This programme will be offered at all three campuses, i.e. Arcadia,
Soshanguve and Ga-Rankuwa. Successful completion of the relevant
foundation programme will ensure that students will be admitted
to their programme of choice, this being subject to availability.
Students currently in Grade 12 will be provisionally selected on their
Grade 11 results.
Selection for the fourth year only: A personal interview with
a departmental evaluation panel may be required.
c.Duration:
The first three years consist of four semesters of full-time formal
training and two semesters of experiential learning. The fourth
academic year is offered on a block basis. Please Note: From
2008 the fourth academic year will be offered full time (over
1 year), however, there is still the option to study part time.First Year

structure. Students register directly for this qualification, but are
offered the opportunity to obtain a National Diploma, as an exit
level, once they qualify. Post Graduate qualifications on a Masters

Remarks
a.Admission requirements:
A Senior Certificate or an equivalent qualification, with a D in
Standard Grade or an E in Higher Grade for Mathematics, Physical
Sciences and a pass in English. Biology is recommended.
b.Evaluation:
Admission is subject to an evaluation procedure and students will
be required to do a Potential Assessment. The applicants will be
evaluated at the beginning of the year to determine if they must
first complete a foundation programme of one year duration.
