AN233 Module 3


The AN233 course deals primarily with the fundamentals of routers and routing. Module 3 of AN200
provides a comprehensive overview of IP addressing and masking. Both classful and classless addressing
are discussed. Module 3 also provides a
detailed account of the two primary protocols that are used for the
automatic assignment of IP addresses to clients


BOOTP and DHCP.

scusses distance vector routing protocols and, more specifically, the Routing Information Protocol (RIP)
versions 1 and 2. Module 4 also provides an overview of Cisco's proprietary distance vector routing
protocols, IGRP and Enhanced IGRP.
