Aim

The students will learn the operation principles of IP telephony, and VoIP configuration
principles. Moreover (s)he is aware of the effect of IP network impairments to voice
quality and will kno
w the basic QoS solutions. After completing the course, the student
will be able to configure a simple IP telephony system, and use a protocol analyzer to
examine packet traffic.


Teaching and Learning Methods

Two lectures will be given to introduce

VoIP

concepts. They are followed by a lab task to
prepare for the week session. The week session will consist of four labs and one lecture.
The course is concluded with a reflecting session.
