Cisco WebEx Basic Services Provided

The
Cisco WebEx Basic
APS

package

is

used to

integrate

Cisco WebEx

conferencing

into

a

P
arallels
A
utomation

environ
ment
.

Billing is handled by the provider with billing done on the number
of WebEx hosts configured.

Plans are configured to offer a certain number of hosts (service users), who each have their
own WebEx portal access (entry link) and a number of attendee
s underneath them (controlled on
the WebEx portal).

The APS package is used to collect the data to create the Cisco WebEx users (hosts) and
automatically log into the WebEx portal.

Cisco WebEx Plans

This package allows the reselling of Host seats through a

single WebEx reseller account. Multiple
plans are not available. The premise is that the provider will enter their Reseller credentials in
global settings and resell Host (service user) seats under their account to their customers. You
must acquire a r
eseller account with WebEx that supports multiple hosts. Cisco should provide you
with the necessary credentials to configure the package so the APS package will create users
under the provider

s account. These users will all be under the same plan and u
se the same
WebEx portal as the provider.

Prerequisites

for

Cisco WebEx Basic
Application

Integration with the Cisco WebEx package requires
a Cisco WebEx plan that allows
multiple hosts to be created in a

reseller model, such as through a WebEx Corporate
account. More information
on plans
can be found here:
http://www.webex.com/products/compare
-
products.html

WebEx Sales may be contacted
here:
http://www.webex.com/contact
-
sales.html

Or call Cisco Sales at: 877
-
509
-

You will need your WebEx Site URL, administrator’s username and password, your
WebEx portal’s port number, and a WebE
x Site ID and Reseller ID provided with your
account.

Your Site ID can also be derived from your unique WebEx URL.

Prerequisites

for

Installing

Package

Note:

It

is

highly

recommended

to

Service

Template

Creation

Use the Service Temp
late to create
your plans for offering Cisco WebEx services. Billing is setup
based on the number of hosts (application users) under your account. Setting limits on this will
define the number of users a subscription can have.

No plans beyond the initial

reseller/provider plan is required with WebEx. User creation from the
user (service) side of the APS package will create Hosts (WebEx users) in the Provider

s Webex
account.

Service

Plans

Service plans are based off the service templates created in the
previous section. As discussed,
WebEx billing for the service provided by the WebEx APS package is based on the number of hosts
(application users) allowed under the plan. The number of application users is a limit set when
configuring the resources for
the plan and should be considered when setting up service plans.
