Italian Cluster for Aerospace Technology
(CTNA)
develops technology
priorities and initiatives, based on global market trends and sector
policies at European and International levels, on behalf ofthenational
Aerospace Stakeholders.
CTNA Strategic Plan is aligned and consistent with EU and National
Aerospace programs, with particular reference to
HORIZON 2020
.
CTNA aims to carry out the vision of
ACARE
and
EU
/
ESA
at European
level, and
ACARE Italia
and
Spin-IT
Platformsat national level,
respectively for Aeronautics and Space

Good News from Ministry of Education,
University and Research ( MIUR )
10th of October 2013,
MIUR assigned the funds
(around 350 Meuro) to
30 Winning Projects presented by
8 National Clusters:
Aerospace, Smart Manufacturing, Green Chemistry, Life Science,Land &
Sea Mobility, Agrifood, Smart Communities, Life/Home Welfare.
Aerospace Cluster has been awarded by
more than 40 Meuro
, distributed
among
four specific Projects
, presented as Start-up Proposals , fulfilling
the CTNA five-years
Strartegic Plan
and selected to attract European
Partners in the follow-on ( namely H2020 ).

Novelty and the Opportunities offered by Italian
Clusters
The collaboration between Ministry of Education, University & Research
(MIUR) and the Ministry of Economical Development (MSE) on oneside,
and between the Regions and both Ministries on the other side, gives
today to the Clusters
an important role to play,
in particular in the field of
the Regional Specialisation Strategy.
CTNA
lives nationally on the roots and feeding of the Regional Districts
and promotes International Initiatives and Projects where theItalian
Aerospace Community can lead winning proposals , so increasing
European funding return.
Any overlap of financial efforts
at regional and national level must be
avoided and all kind of synergies must be pursued to build-up
credible
italian initiatives
that attract other Nations into European winning

The challenge assigned by MIUR to the Italian Clusters
“Ora la sfida per i Cluster saràquella di dimostrare la capacità
di attrarre ulteriori investimenti pubblici e privati, finalizzati
allo sviluppo ed all’impiego di capitale umano qualificato
capace d’incrementare la qualitàdei prodotti della ricerca ed
il loro impatto sull’impresa, sul mercato e sullo sviluppo dei
territori di riferimento.”
(Now the challenge for the Clusters will be the success in attracting
additional public and private funds , to train and employ qualified Human
Resources ,capable to improve Research outputs and their flow-down to
Industries, Markets and Local economy)
