Title: Automation Technicians

Positions Open

Department: Maintenance

Accountability: Reports to the Maintenance Manager


• Actively participate in continual improvement, corrective action and customer satisfaction.

• Diagnose malfunctions through use of proper test equipment.

• Provide reasons for excessive scrap or downtime and conduct root cause analysis to implement
permanent solutions to eliminate.

• Demonstrate sound judgment with the
ability to make decisions and corrections when problems
are detected.

• Must be able to assume responsibility and perform duties and handle multiple tasks under
potentially stressful conditions.

• Document all work performed on equipment,

update process documentation as required.

• Assist in set
up reduction efforts and process improvement work.

• Train maintenance and operators on new equipment, processes, etc.

• Use one’s technical knowledge and skills to effec
tively develop and enhance existing processes
and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical failures.

• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems.

• Perform preventative maintenance on injection molding mach

• Responsibilities for core equipment includes; injection molding machines, 3,5 and 6 axis robotic
automation and assembly work cells, material handling and chiller systems.

• Follow applicable safety, quality, and environmental pro
grams, policies, and procedures.

• Communicate with Engineers, Maintenance, and operators on any issues or concerns.

• Demonstrate shared commitment to the success of the team and wider organization.

• Complete any other job
ted duties as deemed necessary by the Maintenance Manager.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• Work setting includes all areas of the plant and offices. Work with equipment will include working
around hot plastic, heated tools, and moving equipme

• Ability to lift 40 lbs. On a daily basis and up to 70 lbs. intermittently. Ability to move molds and
tooling in excess of 500 hundred lbs. On an intermittent basis.

• Work will require standing, climbing, bending, reaching, lifting

and a variety of postures to
complete inspection and removing and reinstalling activity.

• Adhere to appropriate and professional dress code.

This is a salaried exempt position.

• Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree required.

• Strong interpersonal, communication and team skills.

• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude.

• Maintain a professional attitude at all times.

• Ab
ility to receive and understand training on new equipment.

• Self motivated, with proven initiative for continuous learning.

• Working knowledge of Robots / Vision / AB PLC programming.

• Ability to use hard copy ladder logic to
troubleshoot equipment.

• Must have effective oral & written communication skills, team player, detail orientated, and the
ability to handle multiple priorities.

• Ability to effectively use a multi
meter for the purpose of identifying vo
ltages used in equipment
and checking output modules.

• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
