IBM withdrawing help desk and software update support for

Oracle WebLogic software licenses

Dear IBM Customer:
This letter is being provided to communicate some important information regarding your use of the Oracle
WebLogic (formerly known as BEA WebLogic) software product licensed from MRO Software or IBM.
We wish to inform you that IBMs help desk and software update support for Oracle WebLogic
application server software licenses will be ending on April 25
th
, 2011.

IBM will continue to support Maximo running on the Oracle WebLogic application server. This
announcement affects only help desk and software update support for Oracle WebLogic software licenses
that were provided to MRO Software or IBM customers using Maximo-based products such as:

· Maximo Asset Management
· Tivoli Asset Management for IT (formerly known as Maximo ITAM and IBM Maximo
Asset Management for IT)
· Tivoli Service Request Manager (formerly known as Maximo Service Desk and IBM Tivoli
Service Desk)

Please note the following key points to see how this announcement will impact you and what alternate
solutions IBM has to offer:

· Leading up to April 25, 2011, you will continue to obtain help desk and software update support from
IBM for Oracle WebLogic application server software licenses that were provided by MRO Software
or IBM

· After April 25, 2011, you will continue to have the right to use the Oracle WebLogic application server
software licenses that were provided by MRO Software or IBM. However, you will need to acquire
WebLogic specific software support, including access to maintenance patches, directly from Oracle
(http://www.oracle.com/support/contact.html)

· Customers that are current on maintenance (IBM Subscription and Support), that were provided
software licenses for Oracle WebLogic by MRO Software or IBM will also be entitled  at no
additional cost  to replace WebLogic with the curr ent version of IBM WebSphere. Please work with
your IBM client executive to ensure compatibility of releases.

more information.
